Box Score ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Virginia State University volleyball team rounded out their 2016 regular season play with a 3-0 win over the Vikings of Elizabeth City State University on November 11.
Sophomore
Tiara Ramey led the team with 9 kills followed by teammate sophomore
Myia Jones with 7 kills. Junior Mirada Bass stepped in with 10 assists while senior
Adriana Hazou tallied 7 digs.
Holding ECSU to under 15 points, the Trojans controlled the entire match. Snatching set 1 with a 25-8 victory, helped gear up the Trojans for the upcoming quick sets. The Vikings attempted to rally back, tying with VSU 9-9, but the Trojans pulled ahead to take the 25-12 set victory. Set 3 mimicked set 1 as VSU secured a 25-8 win to take the set and the game.
Sophomore

Adriana Hazou tallies 4.24 digs per set. Currently leading VSU with assists is junior
Miranda Bass with 4.06 assists per set.
The Trojans will be enter CIAA Championship play with an 18-8 overall record, 13-4 in the conference.
VSU is preparing for the upcoming CIAA Volleyball Championship on November 18-20. The Trojans will be the site host for the event.
