Box Score ETTRICK, VA- The Virginia State University volleyball team, under the direction of Coach Rose White, gave the senior student-athletes the best gift, a final home game win! The Trojans took down the Lions of Lincoln University on October 31 in 3 quick sets.

After the photos, cheers and hugs, the Trojans got down to business as they secured their 3 wins (25-7, 25-18, 25-16) over the Lions.
Leading the Trojans in kills was senior Dierdre Cater with 8, followed by fellow senior
Alexsys Pullen with 6 kills. Sophomore
Hailey Heyward left her mark on the court with 6 kills as well.

Diamond Simpson stepped in with 18 assists while teammate senior
Adriana Hazou tallied 18 digs.
The victory moved the Trojans to a 17-8 overall record, 11-3 in the conference, and 7-1 in the Northern Division.
VSU will travel to Murfreesboro, NC on November 7 to take on the top ranked Chowan University Hawks. The first serve is set for 6pm.
The 2016 CIAA Volleyball Championship is quickly approaching! On November 18-20, the top 8 teams in the conference will face off at the VSU Multipurpose Center for the 2016 CIAA Title.
