ETTRICK, Va.- The Virginia State University volleyball team will be traveling to Raleigh, NC for a CIAA Round-Up on September 19-20. The Trojans will begin their 2015 conference play against Shaw University, St. Augustine's University and Fayetteville State University during the round-up.

,The Trojans hold a 2-5 overall record to start conference play. The matchup between the Trojans and the Bears will take place on Saturday, September 19 at noon followed by a matchup with the Falcons at 3 p.m. On Sunday, September 20 at 11 a.m, the Trojans will play their final matchup of the CIAA Round-Up against Fayetteville State University.

Freshman Sydney Uko was named CIAA Rookie player of the week for her performance in the VSU Volleyball tournament this past weekend. Uko led the Trojans with 33 kills during tournament play and will be a strong component to the team as the Trojans enter conference play.
