Box Score FAYETTEVILLE, NC- The Virginia State University volleyball team fall shorts to the Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams, 3-1 (21-25, 19-25, 27-25, 14-25), in the CIAA Volleyball Semi-Finals on November 21.
The Trojans round off their 2015 season with a 19-9 overall record, 13-3 in the conference, 10-2 in the division.
Junior
Dierdre Carter (Winchester, VA) led the game with 10 kills while senior
Brookie Dargan (Newport News, VA) chipped in 9 kills. Junior
Diamond Simpson (Decatar, GA) secured 18 assists while junior
Adriana Hazou (Woodbridge, VA) tallied 25 digs.
VSU had a slow run securing the wins in the first 2 sets. In set 3, the Trojans were evenly match with the Lady Rams as they battled back and forth for the lead. A kill by Carter and 2 errors by the Lady Rams gave the Trojans the 27-25 set win. The victory was for lived as the Trojans took a final loss in set 4.
The Trojans had a great season winning 67.9 percent of their overall matches.
