ETTRICK, VA. - The Virginia State University Volleyball team will host the Bluefield State College Blues on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 2 p.m. in Daniel Gymnasium.
 
The Trojans are currently have a 11-7 overall record, 7-2 in the CIAA Conference, and 5-1 in the Northern Division. CIAA preseason ranks predicted the Trojans to finish fourth in the CIAA and second in the Northern Division.  
 
The Bluefield State Blues are members of the Eastern College Athletics Conference (ECAC). They head into Saturday's matchup on a ten game winning streak. The Trojans have won their last three match ups against CIAA conference opponents.
 
The Virginia State Department of Athletics annual 1,000 cans, 1 goal campaign initiative is underway. Canned food items collected will be donated to the local food banks. The Department encourages all fans, alumni, faculty and friends to bring a canned food item to all of the home volleyball and football games this season.
