Box Score ETTRICK, Va.- The VSU women's basketball took a 72-61 loss to The Lincoln University Lady Lions on January 31 in Daniel Gymnasium. VSU currently has a 14-6 overall record.
VSU shot 37.3 percent (22-59) in field goals, 47.4 percent (9-19) from behind the arc and 88.9 (8-9) percent from the free throw line.
Senior
Da'Shae Jones led the Trojans in scoring with 12 points while the Lady Lions top scorer was Zepharah Pam with 19 points. Seniors
Jessica Lyons and
Cana Marriott collected 10 points each for the Trojans.
The Trojans kept their head above water in the first half as they kept the Lady Lions down. Jones secured a 3 point shot at the halftime buzzer bringing the score to 40-33. VSU lost control of the second half as the Lady Lions took the lead and win.
VSU will be back in action on Wednesday, February 4 to take on St. Augustine's University in the Faculty and Staff Appreciation/ Sock it to the Falcons Game. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
