ETTRICK, Va. – The Virginia State volleyball team hits the road for the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Round-Up in Charlotte, N.C., beginning Sept. 27. First serve against the Lady Rams of Winston-Salem State is slated for noon.

The field for the Trojans' second CIAA round-up of the season includes Winston-Salem State University, Livingstone College and host Johnson C. Smith University. Virginia State looks to recover from a loss to arch-rival Virginia Union and improve their 4-4 start on the season.

Following, game one, the Trojans will take on the Lady Bears of Livingstone at 3 p.m.

Sophomore
Dierdre Carter leads the Trojans in kills with 68 on the season. She also ranks tenth in the CIAA in kills per set (2.75).
Adriana Hazou leads the team in digs with 114 while averaging 4.07 digs per set, ranking third in the conference.

The Trojans will wrap up the weekend on Sunday against the Lady Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith. First serve is slated for 11 a.m.
