ETTRICK, Va.- The Virginia State University volleyball team will venture to Murfreesboro, N.C. on Nov. 3 to take on the Chowan University Hawks at 6 p.m.
The Trojans go into their last away game of the season with a 14-5 overall record, 11-3 in the conference. The Hawks currently have a 21-6 overall record, 12-2 in the conference.
Sophomore
Dierdre Carter continues to lead the CIAA and VSU in kills per set (3.90); while being third in kills with a 285 total. Sophomore
Adriana Hazou leads the team and ranks third in digs per set with 4.48 and digs with 327.
The VSU Athletic Department continues its' "1000 Cans, One Goal" campaign initiative at every home game through Friday, Nov. 21. The purpose of the initiative is to support the local food banks in helping feed the less fortunate during the holiday season. Donors are asked to either bring can goods to any VSU Athletic home game (football, basketball, volleyball, and/or cross-country) and/or drop your items off to the Athletic Department.
