ETTRICK, Va. – The Virginia State volleyball team travels to the Lincoln University for a Northern Division matchup Monday at 6 p.m. at the Manuel Rivero Hall.

Coming into the matchup, the Trojans earned a (3-2) win over Chowan to produce a 2-1 Northern Division, 6-3 CIAA, and 8-4 record overall.

Offensively, the Trojans are led by Dierdre Carter who has tallied 151 kills on .209 hitting, following Alexsys Pullen with 90 kills on .176 hitting. Defensively, Adriana Hazou leads with 187 digs on the season.

The Lady Lions enter the matchup after coming off a (3-1) loss to Bowie State. LU's Ashanti Price leads offensively with 116 kills off of .033 hitting while Syndey Cooks leads defensively with 192 digs.

The Lady Lions are currently 0-4 in the Northern Division, 1-9 in CIAA and 2-11 overall.

The VSU Athletic Department continues its' "1000 Cans, One Goal" campaign initiative at every home game through Friday, Nov. 21. The purpose of the initiative is to support the local food banks in helping feed the less fortunate during the holiday season. Donors are asked to either bring can goods to any VSU Athletic home game (football, basketball, volleyball, and/or cross-country) and/or drop your items off to the Athletic Department.
