Nicholas Christopher scored five runs in a double-header matchup against Lincoln University on Saturday, March 2. In game one he scored 3 runs, had 2 RBIs, and a double base hit. Then in game two he scored three more runs with one hit against the Lions.

Tyler Coleman sparked the Trojans scoring with an RBI double to left field. Nicholas Christopher scored on the play giving Virginia State an early 1-0 lead.  The Lions' defense caused the next run later on in the first inning.
Tyler Coleman scored on a passed ball to make the game 2-0. In the second inning, Joshua Markins hit an RBI single to center field scoring Corey Grant.  Two runs were scored in the fourth inning on a Percy Evans single through the left side. David Johnson and Nicholas Christopher both scored (5-0).

Nicholas Christopher doubled to right field and brought in two more runs; Corey Grant and Rodell Stewart. Nicholas Christopher later scored on an RBI double by Joshua Markins. The Trojans took an 8-0 lead over the Lions after the fifth inning.  With the game in hand Virginia State continued to score runs. William Tapp hit a single to center field to score Percy Evans and he later scores on a single by Colton Gunn.

VSU pitcher Colton Gunn struck out nine batters in six innings. He allowed two hits while walking no Lions. Aaron Kinney took the mound in the seventh inning with a 10-0 lead and recorded three fly outs on four batters faced.
