Trojans Pound Out 26 Hits In Win Against Shaw

Virginia State completed the sweep of the weekend series with Shaw by winning 21-6 on Sunday, March 17th in Raleigh, NC. The Trojans set a new school record with 26 hits in the victory.

Joshua Markins was 4 for 4 with 5 RBI's and Percy Evans followed with a similar 4 for 4 performance with 4 RBI's.

Joshua Markins and Percy Evans both homered for the Trojans. Rodell Stewart and Vernon Vaughan both added 3 hits each.

William Tapp got the win for the Trojans pitching 5 innings, shattering 6 hits and allowing 2 runs.

The win extends the Trojans current win streak to six games.
