Sophmore Joshua Markins pitched a complete game for the Trojans in a 4-0 shutout win against Kutztown University the 8th ranked team in the Atlantic Region.

Joshua Markins gave up five hits in his first appearance of the season for Virginia State. He struck out three batters while forcing 15 fly outs and 8 ground outs. Nicholas Christopher, Kelvin Davis, and Josh Markins all had 2 hits for the Trojans who tallied 9 hits on the day.  Kelvin Davis and Tyler Coleman recorded the Trojans only RBIs of the game.

 The Trojans return to action on Tuesday for a double header against Southern Virginia University at 1 p.m. in Petersburg, VA.
