Three Lady Trojans recorded double-digit kills in a 3-2 (20-25, 25-23, 25-16, 24-26, 17-19) loss to Fayetteville State in their final game of the CIAA Round-Up in Fayetteville, NC. Whitley Bradley (Rs.-So./ Cibilo, TX) and Aubree Parker (Jr./ Fort Pierce, FL) both had 16 kills each, while Nikkisha Walker (Sr./ St. Louis, MO)added 15 kills against the Lady Broncos. VSU went 2-1 this weekend against the CIAA Southern Division.

After falling in the first set 25-20, the Lady Trojans regrouped to win the next two sets 25-23 and 25-16. Offensively, Jasmine Henderson (Jr./ St. Louis, MO) recorded a season-high 57 assists setting up her team on 63 kills. Three Lady Trojans hit double-digits in kills led by Bradley's and Parker's 16 each. Defensively, many Lady Trojans pitched in collecting a season-high 84 digs. Nikkisha Walker led VSU with 23 digs and Jenessa Shinauld (So./ Sacramento, CA) had 18 digs.

Virginia State travels to nearby Ashland, VA on Tuesday, Oct. 2nd to take on Randolph Macon College at 7:00 p.m.
