Nicholas Christopher (freshman/ Dinwiddie, VA) went five innings allowing two hits and one run against Salem International. At the plate, Christopher added two hits and two runs, helping the Trojans improve to 19-15 this season.

Cameron Cox (senior/ Baltimore, MD) recorded a team-high three hits.
In the first inning, VSU scored two runs on four hits to take an early lead. They added six more runs in the next inning on five hits and a fielding error by the Salem International defense. VSU continued their offensive explosion with five more runs in the third inning.
Nine Trojans recorded hits as the team combined for fourteen singles and one hit for a double by outfielder

Brandon Cooper (sophomore/ Richmond, VA) pitched the final four innings for VSU surrendering one run on three hits, as the Trojans swept the Tigers in the three game series.
"The team played very well today. We jumped on them early with a lot of hits. Our pitchers put some pressure on the Tigers and we were able to cruise just for the day, so I thought we did pretty good overall as a team," said VSU's head baseball coach

The Trojans will host Newport News Apprentice School on Tuesday, April 10 at 2:00 p.m. in their next game.
