Box Score The Trojans defeated Virginia Union University in their second game of a triple-header at the 2012 CIAA Volleyball Championships in Hampton, VA. VSU's Jasmine Henderson (Jr./ St. Louis, MO) recorded a game-high 44 assists on 49 total team kills.

Three Trojans had double-digit kills led by Aubree Parker's (Jr./ Fort Pierce, FL) 14. Jasmine Davis (Sr./ Oakton, VA) pitched in with 11 kills while Whitley Bradley (R-So./ Cibilo, TX) had 10 kills. The Trojans setter Jasmine Henderson did a great job of leading her team to a much needed win in the CIAA Tournament.

Defensively, VSU had 82 digs compared to 54 by VUU. Jenessa Shinauld (So./ Sacramento, CA) snagged a team-high 28 digs, Demera Thomason (Fr./ Chandler, AZ) had 15 digs, and Whitley Bradley  grabbed 13 digs.

VSU will play the #1 seed Fayetteville State Lady Broncos at 7 pm to conclude their first day of competition at the 2012 CIAA Volleyball Championships.
