Joél Bowers enters his first year as a coach, bringing with him a decorated collegiate career and proven leadership experience.

As a student-athlete at Virginia State University, he was a three-time conference champion and team captain, while also serving his peers as Vice President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Throughout his career, Bowers captured at least one gold medal in each of three NCAA conferences, the Atlantic 10, the CIAA, and the Big South, highlighting his versatility and consistency in competition.
