Coleman Blackston was named the Running Backs Coach at Virginia State prior to the start of the 2023 season.

Coach Blackston joined the Trojan family as a Graduate Assistant and Tight Ends Coach in 2022.

The Baltimore, MD native is a 2019 graduate of Shaw University, where he was a member of the 2017 and 2018 football teams. Blackston amassed totals of 264 yards rushing and three touchdowns with 11 receptions for 81 yards in 15 games for the Bears.
