Alex Stadler

Alex Stadler is entering his fourth season as VSU’s offensive line coach. Stadler helped the Trojans to an undefeated regular season (10-0) last season, where the Trojans claimed the 2018 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Football Championship title.
 
Stadler was the offensive line coach at Sul Ross State University (TX) in 2014 before coming to VSU.
 
Alex began his coaching career at Liberty University, Stadler earned a master’s degree in Sports Administration. In 2012, Stadler assisted the University of Richmond, where he helped the Spiders improve from 3-8 to 8-3 while winning the championship of the Colonial Athletic Association. At Bowling Green in 2013, he coached the offensive line under Dave Clawson, who moved on to Wake Forest. Stadler led the offensive line to the Mid-American Conference Title and an appearance in the Little Caesar’s Bowl. Two Falcon offensive linemen earned first team All-Conference honors and another was second team All-MAC under Stadler.
 
After spending his first two collegiate years at Alabama under coach Mike Shula and Nick Saban, Stadler transferred to Liberty University, where he was a three-year starter. He was named All-Big South Conference three times, his team won the conference championship in each of his three seasons, and he was a team captain as a senior while earning a bachelor’s degree in Communications with an emphasis in advertising and public relations.
 
A native of Bealeton, Virginia, Stadler was ranked as the 12th best offensive lineman in the nation and received 26 offers to play NCAA Division I football after earning high accolades at Liberty High School.
 
Stadler and his wife Heather currently resides in Petersburg, Virginia.
