ETTRICK, Va. (Sept. 2, 2026) – As part of Virginia State University's continued commitment to connecting with and giving back to the community, VSU Athletics will host Military Appreciation Day during its football game against Bowie State University on Saturday, September 5, 2026. 

In recognition of the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country, all active-duty and retired military members with a valid military ID will receive free admission to the game and may enter through any gate. 

VSU Athletics is also encouraging all Trojan fans to show their support by wearing camo and helping create a great atmosphere inside Rogers Stadium. 

Join the Trojans on Saturday, September 5, as Virginia State takes the field against Bowie State at 1 p.m. and honors the members of our military.
