Richmond, Va. (Mar. 7, 2026)- The Virginia State Women's Tennis team won their first match 7-0 against Virginia Union on Saturday afternoon.

The Trojans were able to sweep the doubles matches. Sky Carter, Alexcie Burrows and Taryn Toomer all won their matches 6-0, 6-0. Nyla Terrell at the number two spot won her match 6-1, 6-0 and Damita Bollers won her match 6-0, 6-1.
