Ettrick, Va. (Mar. 13, 2026)- The Virginia State women's tennis team dropped a tightly contested match to the University of District Columbia 4-3 this afternoon.

The firebirds picked up a close win in the one doubles while J-na Leilani Hereford and Makensie Pago picked up a 6-3 win in the two doubles. The Trojans took the third doubles due to not enough players to start up 1-0. In the singles UDC took the ones, two and four before Hereford picked up another win for VSU 6-1, 6-1 in the threes. UDC decided the match with a win in the fives.
