Fayetteville, N.C. (Sept. 27, 2025)-Virginia State fell 34-14 to Fayetteville State on the road Saturday afternoon.
The Broncos improved to 2-3 on the year and 2-0 in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association play, while the Trojans fell to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in conference matchups.
Rahsaan Matthews Jr. led Virginia State's passing attack with 257 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown and two interceptions. The signal caller also added one touchdown on the ground.
