Ettrick, Va. (Sept. 24, 2025) – The Virginia State University men's soccer team showed early offensive spark behind forward Diddier Rochez, who scored both Trojan goals in the opening minutes of a 6-2 setback to Pfeiffer University on Wednesday evening at Rogers Stadium.
Rochez wasted no time, finding the back of the net in the 3rd minute to equalize at 1-1 after Pfeiffer struck first. Just five minutes later, he capitalized again from the penalty spot to level the score at 2-2. The goals marked his first two of the season
The Trojans generated six total shots in the match, four of them on goal. Sebastine Daniel and Kebron Dewit each registered attempts that tested Pfeiffer's keeper, while Rochez led the offense with two shots on target.
Defensively, goalkeeper Elijah Fernandez stood tall under constant pressure, recording five saves in the full 90 minutes of play.
The Trojans (0-4-0) will be back in action this Saturday September 27 as they travel to Johnson & Wales (NC) for a 4:00 p.m. start.
