Ettrick, Va. (July 2, 2025) – Head Coach Bob Jenkins has announced the fall 2025 schedule for Virginia State University's men's soccer team as the program enters its second season. The upcoming campaign features 10 opponents the Trojans faced during their inaugural season.
VSU will open the year with two exhibition matches in August—traveling to Hampden-Sydney on August 20, then returning home to host Randolph on August 22.
The regular season kicks off with back-to-back home games at Rogers Stadium. The Trojans will welcome Ferrum College on September 4 as the Panthers transition from Division III to Division II. Two days later, VSU will host Jefferson, flipping last season's fixture in Philadelphia.
The team then hits the road for a pair of away games, visiting Chowan on September 10 and Emory & Henry on September 17. The Trojans return to Ettrick on September 24 to host Pfeiffer before wrapping up the month with a road trip to Johnson & Wales (N.C.).
October begins with an away match at Chestnut Hill, followed by back-to-back home games—against the University of the District of Columbia on October 8 and Mid-Atlantic Christian on October 11.
The Trojans will then embark on a five-game road stretch, highlighted by a marquee matchup against Division I opponent Howard University in Washington, D.C., on October 29.
VSU will close out the regular season at home against Shaw University.
"We're proud to announce our game schedule for the upcoming fall season—marking the second season of our college soccer program!" said Coach Jenkins. "The momentum from year one has set the stage for an even stronger showing, and we're ready to build on that foundation. This year's schedule is packed with competitive matchups, including a standout fixture against Howard University that promises to be a thrilling test for our young squad."
