VSU struggled against JCSU but ultimately secured the victory over Livingstone


Ettrick, VA- On April 17, 2025, the Virginia State women's tennis team played two matches. The first match was against the Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith at 11 a.m., where they won with a score of 4-1. In the second match, the team faced the Blue Bears of Livingstone College and secured a victory with a score of 6-1.


Game 1 VSU 1 - JCSU 4

The doubles teams of A. Gilbert-Simons / D. Manneni and K. Ragins / S. Hewitt showcased strong performances, each winning their matches 6-2. D. Manneni and K. Ragins had decisive victories in singles, while A. Gilbert-Simons won a tightly contested match against A. Charles. Some matches remain unfinished or defaulted. 


Game 2 VSU 6 - Livingstone 1

The doubles teams of S. Sargeant / M. Castaldo and G. Johnson / A. Burrows showcased strong performances, each winning their matches convincingly. M. Castaldo and M. Pago had decisive victories in singles, while A. Charles won a tightly contested match against I. Garba. Some matches were won by default.
