Richmond, VA—The Virginia State Women's tennis team played across town against the Panthers of Virginia Union on March 29, 2025, at 1 p.m. 

 

Doubles Matches:

  1. Bollers, Damita / Pago, Makensie delivered a flawless performance, winning 6-0 against Madison Hill / Briana Velinor. Their coordination and powerful shots left their opponents struggling to keep up.
  2. Johnson, Ginger / Burrows, Alexcie demonstrated excellent teamwork and strategy, securing a 6-1 victory over Ga'Leisha Miller / Andrea Sanjurjo. Their ability to anticipate and counter their opponents' moves was key to their success.
  3. Charles, Ashleigh / Williams, Geena dominated their match, winning 6-0 against Alana Simmons / Marianna Brooks. Their aggressive play and precise serves ensured a swift victory.

Singles Matches:

  1. Johnson, Ginger continued her winning streak in singles, defeating Briana Velinor 6-0, 6-1. Her consistent performance and tactical play were evident throughout the match.
  2. Pago, Makensie won 6-1, 0-0 against Madison Hill, showcasing her agility and powerful ground strokes. Her ability to control the game's pace was instrumental in her victory.
  3. Charles, Ashleigh displayed exceptional skill, winning 6-0, 6-0 against Andrea Sanjurjo. Her dominance on the court was clear as she maintained control from start to finish.
