The game kicked off with UDC and VSU quickly establishing dominance. In the first three-minute shot attempt by VSU Sebastine Daniel, was out left. Just eight minutes in, Ignacio Pericet scored the opening goal, assisted by Daniel Isaiah, setting the tone for the visiting team. UDC maintained pressure, doubling their lead shortly after when Isaiah found the net himself in the 12th minute.

Virginia State struggled to find their footing, with their second significant attempt coming from Matt Brown, which went wide. UDC continued to capitalize on their chances, with George Shaw scoring their third goal in the 23rd minute, assisted by Ignacio Lopez. Despite three attempts, including a noteworthy save from VSU goalkeeper Sean Roach, UDC added a fourth goal just before halftime when Mustafa Tahir scored, assisted by Liam Thompson. The halftime score stood at 4-0, reflecting UDC's commanding performance.

The second half saw Virginia State adjust in an attempt to turn the tide. Shane Roach, Sebastine Daniel, and Salah Mahmoud had shots saved by UDC's goalkeeper, Giovanni Llamas. However, UDC quickly regained control, and Ignacio Lopez scored the fifth goal of the match, further extending their lead.

Virginia State found a moment of hope when Salah Mahmoud converted a penalty kick, bringing the score to 5-1. This goal energized the VSU squad, but their momentum was short-lived. Just moments later, UDC's Tahir struck again, scoring his second goal and solidifying UDC's position with a 6-1 lead to finish the game.
