CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Alexis McNair, Virginia State University volleyball student-athlete and Ashley Taylor former Winston-Salem State University Women's Track and Field student-athlete and current Fayetteville State University Master of Business Administration graduate student are the recipients of this year's CIAA Post Graduate Scholarships. The CIAA Post Graduate Scholarship was established to increase the pool of and opportunities for ethnic minority and women candidates who attend a CIAA member institution to pursue a postgraduate degree in athletics and sports administration. 

McNair is the inaugural recipient of the Eric Moore Communications Post Graduate Scholarship. Last year, The CIAA named a scholarship in honor of Eric Moore Communications and Marketing for applicants interested in pursuing a post-degree in communications, marketing, and media and who will be entering her senior year at Virginia State. McNair, a native of Ashland, plans to pursue a master's degree in Sports Management or Sports Administration with an end goal of becoming a sports agent in Fall 2024.
 
Ashley Taylor, the recipient of a CIAA General Scholarship, is a former Women's Track and Field student-athlete at Winston-Salem State University and hales from Charlotte, NC.  She is currently enrolled as a Master of Business Administration graduate student at Fayetteville State University with future aspirations to become the Commissioner of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

This year's winners were selected through an application process vetted by the CIAA Post Graduate Scholarship Committee. Winners were selected based on GPA, resume, and a personal essay.
