ETTRICK, VA.- The Virginia State tennis team will host the Bowie State Lady Bulldogs for their home opener on March 11th. The match will be Head Women's Tennis Coach Chavez Mabry's VSU Trojans coaching debut along with his Assistant Coach Roosevelt Cooper, Jr.

Trojans Returners:
The Trojans brought back three returners from last year's team, sophomores Ginger Johnson and Ashleigh Charles and Jayce Gaither.
Trojans Newcomers:
Coach Mabry has a plethora of young talent on his squad as it features welcomed five freshman and a junior.
Last Time out
The Trojans finished the season 6-5 but dropped their last four matches. The Trojans season ended in 7-0 loss to Johnson C. Smith in the Quarterfinals of 2022 CIAA Women's Tennis Championship.
Scouting Report (Bowie State)
Bowie State finished the season 11-4 (8-2, CIAA) a season ago but ended their season with semifinal loss to Johnson C. Smith, 5-0. They started the season with a 4-0 victory against Elizabeth City State.
