ETTRICK, VA - As the 2022-2023 athletic season vastly approaches, the Virginia State Athletic Training staff needs a few documents completed by new student-athletes as well as returning student-athletes. 


Freshman/Transfer Student-Athlete's
- Must submit actual sickle cell laboratory results from the physician that indicates a positive or negative result.
- Must complete sportsware online information(instructions are on the VSU athletic department website.


Returning Student-Athlete's
- Must update and complete sportsware  online information(instructions are on the VSU athletic department website).


All Student-Athlete's 
- Physical examination must be on the official VSU physical form.
- Physical examinations must be done within six months of your return to sport date.
- Must complete concussion testing upon returning to campus.  If you are in the area, contact the athletic training department to avoid long wait times.
