Trojans Look to Turn it Around Against Norfolk State

Ettrick, VA – The Virginia State Men's Tennis team will return home to face Norfolk State (1-11) to cap a two-match season series against the Spartans. VSU will face NSU Thursday, April 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the VSU Tennis Complex.
 
Virginia State (0-7) is coming off a rough 4-0 loss to Shaw in Raleigh, NC on Monday, April 11.  Laurance Britt took a game on the second court while Jalen Bell was able to take one as well on the third court.
 
Norfolk State has had a rough go of things so far this season after being shutout in six matches this season. That being said, the Spartans are fresh off their first win of the season defeating VSU 5-1. NSU nearly took down Coppin State in the MEAC Tennis Round-Up but ultimately fell 4-3. The Trojans are down 0-1 in the series record after falling 5-1 in the inaugural match. Federico Rebecchini holds the best record on the team as he stands tall at 6-6 playing on court one in singles. Federico Rebecchini and Hugo Massoni – Lena currently lead the team with a 3-5 record in doubles.
