ETTRICK, VA – The Trojans struggled against the Bobcats of Frostburg State as they scored just three runs on the day. The Bobcats took game the first game 8-1 prior to earning the win in five innings in the second game, 12-2.
Game 1
Frostburg State drove in the first run of the game on a single to make the score 1-0 in the top of the first inning. In the top of the second inning, the Bobcats drove in another run on a single prior to having a run come in to score on a fly ball to center field. The Bobcats extended their lead to 3-0. Frostburg State added to their run total in the top of the third inning as a single brought in a run from third to make the score 4-0. The top of the sixth inning saw three more runs come around to score as one scored on a fly ball to center field while the other two came on a double to make the score 7-0. The Bobcats would stay hot as a single to shortstop added another run to their total as the FSU extended their lead to 8-0. The Trojans went on to score a run in the bottom of the seventh inning as

Game 2
The second game of the day started with Frostburg scoring their first three runs on a triple to center field. Yet another triple would score a run while a double would bring another run home to score to make it 5-0 in the top of the first inning. The Trojans started to battle back in the bottom of the second inning as

Desmyn Owens to bring the score to 5-2. The Bobcats answered by scoring seven runs in the top of the fourth inning to make the score 12-2. FSU held the Trojans scoreless over the next two innings to end the game in the fifth inning due to the 10-run rule.
