VSU Athletics Welcomes Spectators Beginning January 29

Trojans will allow up to 2,500 Spectators for each of the Remaining Home Basketball Games

ETTRICK, VA- ( January 25, 2022) After reviewing the current climate of the COVID-19 pandemic, Virginia State University Athletics will allow a maximum of 2,500 spectators to attend each of the remaining home games for the 2021-2022 season.

The Trojans look to welcome spectators to the VSU Multipurpose Center on January 29 as the Trojans take on Lincoln University. The women's basketball team will tip-off at 4pm, followed by the men at 6pm.

The guideline was implemented to help safeguard the health and well-being of the general VSU community and campus visitors, and aligns with the campus-wide requirement that all faculty, staff, and students be fully vaccinated (including a booster dose) against COVID-19.

All attendees 18 and older are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of vaccination includes an official COVID-19 vaccine card/record of vaccine with picture ID (Driver's License, State issued ID or University Issued Vaccine Passport). Masks are required except when actively eating or drinking.

VSU will continue to do all that we can to help mitigate the spread of the virus and to protect not only our Virginia State University supporters but also our campus community who are doing their part to help keep themselves and all of us safe by becoming fully vaccinated.
