CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Feb. 26) – The VSU women's basketball team ended their 2020 CIAA Tournament run with a 83-43 quarterfinal loss to the Panther of Virginia Union University at the Bojangles' Coliseum.
The Trojans had a tough matchup against the Panthers, who are seeded no. 1 in the CIAA Northern Division.
"They punched us in the mouth and we didn't regroup," said Head Coach James Hill, Jr.
VSU ends their season with a 10-20 overall record 4-12 in the CIAA.
Leading the Trojans in points and rebounds were seniors Yazmen Hannah and Chiqueria Cook. Hannah collected 14 points and 5 rebounds, while Cook chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds.
