BOWIE, MD- The women's tennis team rounded out their season during the semifinal round of the 2019 CIAA Championship on May 3.
After lining up against the Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith University for day 2 of the CIAA Championship, the Trojans fell short of a victory with a 4-1 loss.
Scoring for the Trojans in the No. 2 singles was junior Kaela Mack with game victories of 6-3 and 6-1.
Under the leadership of head coach Donald Raspberry, the Trojans ended the regular season with a 9-6 overall record, 9-5 in the conference and 6-0 in the Northern Division.
VSU, who entered championship play as the overall No. 3 seed, ended the post season with a 1-1 championship record, 10-7 on the season.
