VSU Tennis Set to Face Salem For Senior Day

ETTRICK, VA- The Virginia State University men's and women's tennis teams are set to take on Salem University on April 18 for the Trojans Senior Day recognition. The first serve for each match is slated for 3pm at the VSU Tennis Complex.

The men's tennis team, under the leadership of head coach Gene Thompson, currently hold a 2-6-1 record on the season, with their last victory on April 14 against West Chester. The Trojans will be honoring 4 seniors prior to the matchup against Salem.

On the women's side, the Trojans under the leadership of head coach Donald Raspberry are 8-3 on the season, 7-1 in the CIAA. VSU's last victory was on April 11 against Elizabeth City State University, which crowned the Trojans the CIAA Northern Division Champions. Prior to the start of the matchup against Salem, the women will honor their senior on the team.

Both teams are using this match as a guide to finishing the 2019 campaign strong.
