MURFREESBORO, NC- The Virginia State University men's tennis team suffered a double loss (8-1, 8-1) to the Shaw University Bears in a CIAA Roundup makeup match on April 3.

Rookie Sultan Kenes was the only Trojan to overpower the Bears in both single set games.

The loss moves the Trojans to a 7-4 overall record.

VSU will travel back to Murfreesboro, NC on April 12 to take on the Hawks of Chowan University. The first serve is set for 3pm.
