RALEIGH, NC- The Virginia State University women's tennis team fell to the Bears of Shaw University during the semifinals of the CIAA Championship on April 29 at the Millbrook Tennis Center in Raleigh, NC.

The Trojans were unable to get on the board in the matchup, taking the 5-0 loss.

VSU wraps up their season with an 11-4 overall record.

This season the team had 2 student-athletes to earn a spot on the All-CIAA conference team to include the Rookie of the Year Sydney Yao (Alexandria, VA).
