ETTRICK, Va. - The Virginia State University women's tennis team secured a tough 5-4 win over the Lady Bulldogs of Bowie State University on March 13.
VSU holds steady to a 5-0 overall record.
The Lady Bulldogs collected automatic wins in a double and single game, due to a Trojans forfeit.

Sydney Yao began the matchup with an 8-2 doubles win. Junior
Monet Graves and sophomore
Tamisha Richardson jumped on the 8-2 bandwagon to collect another doubles win for the Trojans.
Graves, James and Richardson prevailed in their singles set to give VSU a much needed edge to clinch a close win.
VSU will be back in action on March 17 to take on the Chowan Lady Hawks at 3pm at the VSU Tennis Complex.
