Box Score Ettrick, VA - The Virginia State University Trojans oust the Blue Bears of Livingstone College in a 47-0 shutout on Saturday evening in Rogers Stadium.
The Trojans (4-1, 1-1 CIAA) scored an impressive seven touchdowns and amassed 367-yards of total offense, while limiting Livingstone (1-4, 0-2 CIAA) to 209-yards of offense.
Trenton Cannon (Hampton, VA) led the rushing attack with 94-yards on 10 carries. Cannon scored two touchdowns for a total of five touchdowns on the season. Teammate senior
Kavon Bellamy (Hampton, VA) added one touchdown to his resume and finished the game with 57-yards on 16 carries.
VSU's Tarian Ayers (Buckingham, VA) threw for 93-yards on 11 of 20 attempts with one passing touchdown, and transfer freshman
Christian Harden (Richmond, VA) led all receivers with 64-yards on 4 receptions, followed by Bellamy who gained 18-yards on 2 carries.
The Trojans built a halftime lead of 20-0 and never look back.
VSU relied on its defense to keep the pressure on the Bears. Livingstone only earned 12 first downs and 20-yards rushing during the contest.

Bryant Frazier (Glen Allen, VA), fueled the defense 3 plays into the Blue Bears opening drive by forcing a fumble and recovering the ball for a 8-yard pickup to the LC 1-yard line.

Brandon Lynch (Norfolk, VA ) continued with the pressure and connected on 9 total tackles (7 solo), followed by senior
Trevon Byron (Newport News, VA ) who ended the night with 8 total tackles (7 solo).
The Trojans honored  the faculty and staff as well as the annual Take a Kid to the game.
The Trojans will return to Rogers Stadium on Saturday, October 8 at 2:00 p.m. To play host to the Vikings of Elizabeth City State University.
