ETTRICK, Va. - With the kickoff for the 2014 campaign being just around the corner, Virginia State University fans can experience an early start to the season with the annual Meet the Trojans Day (Back 2 School Edition) festivities slated for Saturday, Aug. 30. The much-anticipated event will be held from 1-5 p.m. at Rogers Stadium and will be open to the public, family-friendly and free for all who attend. Gates will open at noon.

Trojan football fans are invited to watch an intra-squad scrimmage beginning at 1 p.m., before the back to school rally begins at 3 p.m. Fans will also get a chance to meet the volleyball and cross-country teams as well during the Meet the Trojans autograph signing session slated for 4 p.m.
 
Schedule cards for football, volleyball, and cross-country will be available to fans. Other attractions include photo opportunities with Troy and the coaches. We will also have performances by the VSU Woo Woos, Trojan Explosion, DJ Blurr and many more.
 
Several departments and organizations at Virginia State University will be donating school supplies to local students from grades K-12 during the Back 2 School Rally.
 
Season tickets for VSU's 2014 home football schedule are on sale now. Season ticket packages are $100 (including parking).

The Trojans open their season on Saturday, Sept. 6 when they travel to California, Pa. to face California University of Pennsylvania at Adamson Stadium for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff.
