NASHVILLE, TN- Virginia State University Bowlers Kiara Raiford and Charity Bickcom were among the 165 athletes from 35 institutions named to the 2014 National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) Academic All-Americans. 

To be honored, student-athletes had to achieve a minimum of a 3.4 grade point average during the recent academic year.

Raiford and Bickcom were leaders on the lanes and in the classroom as the VSU Bowling Team won the 2014 CIAA Championship Title and the 2014 Highest Team GPA Award.

"I am proud and appreciate them getting the job done in the classroom," said Head Bowling Coach Ron Simms.
