RICHMOND, VA – The Virginia State University women's tennis team improve to 6-2 on the season and 5-2 in CIAA play after a 9-0 CIAA Northern Division win over Virginia Union University on Sunday afternoon. The Lady Panthers move to 1-5 overall and 1-4 in CIAA play.
The Trojans rolled past Virginia Union in doubles to take an early 3-0 lead heading into singles competition.

Brittany Uzzell topped Kiara Miller/Ellie Parsons 8-1 while
Nakesha Harry/
Kayla Kale and Deja Shabazz/Katrina Joe earned an 8-4 win for the Trojans.
Simmons, Uzzell, Harry, Kale and
Sharmane Tonkins earned victories in singles play to secure the 9-0 win for the Trojans.
Virginia State will travel to Longwood University in Farmville, VA on March 25
th at 2:00 pm.
