The Virginia State men's and women's basketball team dominated the first day of the 6
th annual Chick-fil-A Classic.
The women took on Lancers of Lenoir Community College on Nov. 29 at 5:00pm.
Lamesha Deal led the Trojans with 14 points and four rebounds. Teammates
Pryncess Tate-Dublin and
Alexandria Massado were not far behind with 12 points each. Quiana Kizer collected 11 point and
Da'Shae Jones ten points in the game. The Trojans finish the game with a 92-62 win over the Lancers.
At 7:00pm, the men took on the Rams of Bluefield College.Â
Allen Harris of the Trojans led the team with 15 points and six rebounds.
Kahlil Tate secured majority of his point from his three pointers, giving him 14 points for the game.
James Vann and
Amiel Terry earned 21 points for the Trojans collectively. The men finished off the first night of the Classic with a score of 77-65 over the Rams.
