Virginia State University Athletics

Assistant Track and Field Throws Coach, Ashley DeWitt has had a tremendous coaching career since her arrival to Virginia State University in 2017. She has been a part of the last two conference championship titles while also providing three conference champions and an All-American in the discus throw. 

Before coming to Virginia State University, Ashley had success at Indiana Tech. Her time there provided four multiple time All-Americans, five team national championships, and six conference championships. 
 

This success as a coach can contributed from her time as a division II athlete. Ashley attended Tiffin University located in Tiffin, Ohio. There she was a two-time All-American in the shot and weight throw, a three-time academic All-American, a seven-time national qualifiers, and the 1st female thrower at Tiffin to throw 50 feet.
 

A native of Kokomo, Indiana, Dewitt graduated from Tiffin University in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Business Management and received her Master's in Business Administration with a minor in Human Resources.
