Biography
Lamesha Deal, the 2013 CIAA Defensive Player of the Year, showed her offensive prowess, as well, and earned Virginia State Female Athlete of the Week recognition. Deal scored 15 points with nine rebounds in Virginia State’s season-opening victory over Bloomfield, 63-50, in the first round of the Chick-fil-A Lady Viking Classic. She had 14 points and eight boards and five blocked shots in a 74-56 victory over Belmont Abbey.
