VSU Tennis Stumbles in Match Against WSSU


Ettrick, VA- The Virginia State Women's tennis team competed in the quarterfinals of the 2025 CIAA Tennis Tournament against the Rams of Winston-Salem State. 
 

Doubles:

1. Moore/Higgins defeated Bollers/Charles 6-3.
2. Burrows/Pago defeated Nickens/Burns 6-3.
3. Black-Maco/Drew had no result against undefined players.

Singles:

1. Moore defeated Pago 6-2, 6-0.
2. Higgins defeated Charles 6-3, 2-1.
3. Burns defeated Burrows 6-2, 6-4.
4. Bollers defeated Nickens 6-2, 3-3.
5. Drew defeated Williams 6-2, 6-0.
6. Black-Maco had no result against an undefined player.

The ladies of the Virginia State University Tennis team fought hard as a determined group, but WSSU took their revenge this week with a decisive 4-0 victory.
