ETTRICK, VA- The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) and its Cheerleading Coaches Association announce the 2021-2022 All-CIAA Cheerleading Team.
Twenty-two standout student-athletes have been selected for their leadership and athletic abilities contributing to the success of their respective institutions.
Representing the world renowned Virginia State University Woo Woos on the 2021-2022 All-CIAA Cheerleading team are
Tamia Smith and
Jessyca Greene
Smith is in her third year with the Woo Woos, contributing her leadership, creativity and high energy. The Atlanta, GA native is Psychology major, Sports Marketing preparing to graduate in May 2022. Setting her sights on being an Attorney after graduation, Smith lives by the inspirational quote "" Fear kills more dreams than failure ever will."
In her second year with the Woo Woos, Greene has shown a great deal of dedication on and off the field and court; alongside paying close attention to detail in everything she does. The Chesapeake, VA native is set to graduate in 2024 with a degree in Computer Science. Her outstanding qualities as a VSU Woo Woo will assist her as she looks to become a Computer Scientist with the Department of Defense.
These outstanding athletes will be recognized at Super Saturday of the CIAA Basketball Tournament on February 26, 2022 as part of the cheerleading exhibition. The CIAA Cheer Exhibition will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center. Doors open at 8am and admission is free.
