BOWIE, Md.- The Virginia State University women's tennis team defeated the Bulldogs of Bowie State University on April 22 in the Trojans final game of the regular season.

The Trojans gave the BSU their only points of the game due to 2 VSU forfeits.

Rookie Sydney Yao, junior Sheila James, sophomore Tamisha Richardson, sophomore Majhanae Thomas, and junior Annessa Taylor each secured a win in their respective single and double sets.

VSU will be entering the CIAA Championship on April 28-30 in Charlotte, NC with a 10-3 overall record.
