ETTRICK, Va.- The Virginia State University football Military Appreciation Game was anything but ordinary on Sept. 13 for senior Woo Woo cheer captain Ambrea McGhee (Hampton, Va.).

Her father, Senior Chief Ricky McGhee, has never seen his daughter cheer on a collegiate level until he surprised her at the first home football game of the 2014 season.

Senior Chief McGhee has served 26 years of active duty and has made eight deployments.

This was a joyous occasion for Ambrea, the McGhee family and the VSU community!
